R’accolte: Acri project
ACRI, the organization that represents the joint-stock Savings Banks and the Foundations of Banking Origin, came into existence in the early 1990s pursuant to the enactment of the so-called "Amato" Law, no. 218/90.
With the “R’accolte” project, Acri has promoted the census of the immense art heritage owned by Foundations in order to make a catalogue of all the works of art of the different collections, construct a database of information and put it on the net, create new synergies among Foundations and with other entities operating on the territory.
This “collective catalogue” implies putting online all images and summary data relating to the various typologies of cultural assets such as paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics, prints, coins and furniture owned by Foundations of Banking Origin in Italy.
The project is not only an online-catalogue but also provides for exhibitions of the collections. Each Foundation, alternately, promotes an exhibition that will be shared with all other Foundations, by hosting artistic excellences. It’s a path in the name of art allowing to reveal and widely spread the “uniqueness” of the collections that today can be consulted on the “R’accolte” website.
Fondazione Cariplo joined the project thus making its collection available and contributing to giving a unitary vision of the artistic heritage owned by the Foundations of Banking Origin.
